Outside of brass, about the only recent one was the Trix one that came out a few years ago. It’s no longer being made, but if you hunt around online you should be able to find one. I found one at a hobby shop online that specialized in carrying German / Austrian / European railroad models. It needs a few changes, most notably the smokestack which is way too tall…the caboose had such a short cupola because of NYC’s limited clearances afterall!! Model Railroader covered the caboose and the changes in the April 2004 issue.

Amberoid and later Gloor Craft have made a fine model craftsman kit less T/C. They require some work, but the fine quality of the kit makes it worth it.
There are also several importers of brass models of the same animal, Lambert and OMI come to mind. and they come with trucks, but I have only seen them brass finish.
I also remember reading in one of the modeling magazines, I believe it was RMC about a kitbash with a plastic model of a wooden caboose, shortening the cupola by sawing it in half as well as other work, I don’t remember how accurate of a model it was turned into, but I went the Gloor Craft and Amberoid route. I also got one of the Trix models, and a couple of brass models, but I prefer the wood kits.

I have a plastic craftsman kit that was made by Waterlevel Models of Lafayette, NY. Don’t know how old it is or whether they are still in business or not. Got it on ooo-bay-bay a couple years ago.
I don’t remember the article, but it probably used the old Roundhouse/MDC three-window wood caboose (below) now offered by Athearn, who now own the Roundhouse line. The main body is pretty close, if you cut down the cupola and changed the roofwalk it would be pretty close. Unfortunately it’s now only offered by Athearn as RTR but the undec kits are usually pretty easy to track down at flea markets or online.
