Is the NYC Subway rail network connected by any means to the northeast corridor line i.e. Sunnyside area, or the LIRR. If not how come I saw some NYC subway equipment on the LIRR lines on NYC subway.org, and how did they transfer the equipment.
I don’t know of a Sunnsyide connection (which doesn’t mean there isn’t one).
There’s a connection in Brooklyn with the New York Regional Rail (the old NY Cross Harbor). From there, they can technically get to anywhere on the US rail system.
The South Brooklyn RR is an MTA subsidiary which serves the Coney Island Shops and connects with LIRR.
