NYC subways flooded again

Apparently many lines and some stations flooded with up to 7 inches of rain that happened and were forecast. Were any of these locations the same that “SANDY” flooded? If so what lessons were forgotten?

MNRR also had to short turn some trains

EDIT. Especially wondering aot South Ferry Trains 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, service adjustments.

IIRC, one significant difference from the Sandy flooding is that the flooding is caused solely by rainfall, while Sandy also had flooding due to a combination of high tide and storm surge with nasty effects of salt water.

complaints sstill coming in.

People yelling at the rain? They need to grow up.

The ground in New York isn’t made of mostly sand like it is in Florida.

This is why basement apartments are so cheap in New York City. They fill up with water when it rains heavy. Not a safe place to have a bedroom from what I heard on the news as several folks have drowned in those apartments when the flood hits at night when they are asleep and they don’t have time to evaculate.

Using the word “cheap” loosely there, bud.
