Im trying to build an NYC layout but im pretty new to modelrailroading so I really dont know where to look. what order did NYC have for passenger trains? and also where can I find info about the NYC (website or book preferred). putting together a diesel, and I also havent been able to find any passenger cars that match it.

I’m also building a layout based on the NYC line. Try www.railpictures.net and also do a search on goolge. You’ll find plenty of pictures . There is also a NYC historical society

New York Central’s Later Power by Alvin Stauffer is a wonderful reference to NYC Power. Later version’s also include diesels.
