As has been pointed out many times, adding figures to scenes makes them come alive. I have added workers, passengers, etc., but have not been able to find a source for children - there are a number of places on my layout where they would be ideal. Can anyone give me a good resource? Thanks, Var
For older children, you may be able to use adults made to a smaller scale, like S, OO, or HO.
Not cheap, but Arttista has plenty of different child figures, and every other kind of figure.

True O scale kids have much larger proportions:
And having a layout that models Disneyland, I feel your pain! Child figures seem to be only an afterthought to the manufacturers over the years.
k-line used to have children in their figure sets. I have roller skates, jumping rope boy pulling toy train, girl with puppy. Perhaps some other mfg. has molds.

I collect the figures from the Season’s Bay (Dept 56) collection, and place them in the foreground. They aren’t “giants” like other D56 people, and are nicely detailed.
