Does anybody know who makes these? http://www.historicrail.com/product_info.po?ID=22146&product=Models+and+Kits&category=trains&subcategory=Passenger%20Cars It looks like a pretty good buy for what you get. I’m curious since I wonder if additional non-powered RDC’s are also offered by whoever makes it.
I would bet that this is the RMT RDC. Their last catalog offered the MTH Silver Bullet and a Lionel set.
It did look like a Buddy, but the other O gauge trains they were offering looked like Williams…
I agree with Bob Keller that they look like RMT model trains.
Sometimes Historic Rails catalog don’t make mention of what company makes the item, but if you read about the item you can usually figuire out who makes it.

Thanks for the replies guys, looked on RMT’s website and it is indeed a “Buddy” RDC model. There are a lot more paint schemes available online in addition to the ones Historic Rail is offering. By the looks of it and the descriptions I’ve found it may be pretty neat. I might get one to see if I can upgrade it to TMCC or something, since it comes with no sound set.
I have 2 PRR Buddys made by RMT. They look nice and run well, even with 2 hooked together (no “dummy” units are available). They have directional lights, as well as a flashing light. It can be set to “forward only”, if desired. Order direct from RMT for a lower price and better selection.
This is the first time Historic Rail has offered a bunch of “O” trains. Yes, most are Williams.
