I will take a stab at this one (surgical humor), I believe you are looking for inexpensive 3 rail trains, for this, try the pages of Classic Toy Trains, some advertisers have sets and rolling stock at great prices. Another try would be a local train show. As for layout suggestions, put a search on this forum (located at top of topic page), there are a few web sites out there. Also, if you go to Lionel.com, they have a section on Layout suggestions. From what I gather from your post, you are not looking at a super delux room size layout, so you should be able to get something from these two sources. Remember, one great thing about trains is that you are only limited by your imagination and wallet.
