Hello, I haven’t been very active on this forum but figured I’d try posting a couple photos of my 3rd floor standard gauge layout. Its approx 24’ x 10’ and can run up to 3 trains at once. It would be nice to get more standard gauge discussion going in this group if there is interest.
I worked in a Lionel Service Station 30 years ago but started in standard gauge about 3 years ago and built this layout in 2016.
Mostly Lionel with a little bit of American Flyer equipment. Accessories are mostly original with a few reproduction pieces like the Hellgate drawbridge used to access the control panel (which still isnt finished!).
Thank you, we haven’t had one go through a wall yet but I have a cursed 1835 that took a plunge into the “canyon“ during early testing when the hellgate bridge was accidentally left up. It derailed again a week later on the east end, went off the table but didn’t make it through the railing, otherwise it would have ended up on the 2nd floor!
I have done a lot of modern repro std ga repair/remotoring for a client. I have a 400E, 381E, and green state cars, along with a few freight cars. Been trying to score a modern repro 384E to go with the freight cars!
Becky - as always - good looking layout - hope you are able to that one up again this season!
