Oct 05 issue,,revised

I am waiting for the part two or Eric’s artical on the SD 45 to come. But last week when he was able to drop by and run trains i had him sign his name in the inside cover of the 1st issue.
Kind of a fun thing to do.

Good to meet many of the folks who affect this great hobby of ours.

Nice one Marty, I guess us Brits will get to read it first!![;)]
Cheers,

Marty,
You won’t have to wait long. The issues are being mailed soon!

hehe

Now you need to set that copy aside for 50 years or so so your kids can take it to Antiques Roadshow[oX)]

Hey Marty,
I too am looking forward to seeing the progression. An interesting article for sure. Thanks for sharing the pic. Later eh…Brian.

The fun part about this photo above is that his loco photo was taken on the tracks in front of him.
Eric is really good at this detail stuff. Hes not afrad to spend $$$ on an engine just to get the parts. But with his busy life and hours at work he probably won’t have his own GRR to run on.

Thats pretty cool! Congrats!

Look out for the 2nd part of my ‘retired boxcar’ article too!

Phil, you beat I am.
Its great seeing authors on the forums and getting to know them.

Am I to understand that ‘Eric’ doesn’t have a garden or large scale railway.

If he does not intend to run the things, can I have his motors [:D]

Troy
he runs most of his stuff here. As for etra motors thats a good Q. You should e-mail him. his add is in GRYs issue.

What’s it under Marty. There thousands of ads
I need motorised bogies.

We had our CIGRS Iowa club meeting and ol Gary Elden showed up. Who’s Gary, well take a look at Dec 2003 cover feature GRR and you’ll remember.
And yes I got his autograph

I can’t get them all but I do it because it takes so many regular folk just like you and me to make this hobby GREAT.
So keep sharing the faith.
we had two new (new to the hobby) join and I meet another couple just 45 mins away. how fun.
I did not get many shots because hosting keeps you really busy but lov’in it.
