I can’t seem to find my october '97 issue of MR (must be playing hooky with my november '93 issue of RMC!). There was a paintshop article about CGW maroon… I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out!! thanks…
As it happens, it was in the front of my out of order filing cabinet of issues with articles I find handy. I’m guessing you’re wondering what color they suggested to use for CGW maroon? It says they used Accu-Flex (that’s Modelflex now I think?) Caboose Red and Erie Lackawanna maroon.
They weren’t suggesting a mix were they? Were they just saying use EL maroon for the maroon scheme & caboose red for the red?
It doesn’t say anything about a mix and directs the reader to the book Painting and Weathering Railroad Models, which I don’t believe is still in print. Apparently there was a section in the book about painting CGW F3s.
