I posted this link because I thought some of you in our community are into railroad preservation and might enjoy it. I got into a discussion some time ago on this forum about the difficulty of finding some company that could still make a huge casting like an intergal frame for a T1 if someone had the money to do recreate one-Heres a guy who is reviving the art of the speciality blacksmithing and casting in the Synthetic Age.

Now the frames would be welded instead of cast. The welds now are strong enough to hold a carrier together and our submariners really on welds at the seams.
