Off Topic

This is way off topic but has to do with trains anyway, just real ones and the lengths that the BNSF is getting on their intermodals:

Enjoy the weather! We are a balmy 22 degrees here in eastern New Mexico.

Thanks. Cold thanks to Yanks up north. [V]

I hope you guys warm up. That humid cold is a killer. I thought I would freeze to death on Christmas Eve 5 years ago in Orlando, Florida. It’s so cold here that I had to run my old model 2026 around the track 4 or 5 times just to get the gears warmed up!

Yes, but winter in the Land of Enchantment is over by March, while in the NE we still have 6 more weeks to go.

(BTW: despite the lack at attics/basements can’t wait to move to Placitas/Sandia Park [8D] )

WoW!!! That is a looooonnnngggggg train!!! 458 units…is that containers or trailers that hold the containers???

underworld

It could be both containers or trailers. I haven’t been down to Clovis lately so I’m not sure about the BNSF. The UP has been running combinations of container well, piggybacks and automobile transports in the same train lately in my area but nothing I’ve seen is as long as the BNSF is claiming.

Mike

Don’t blame you! I’ve lived and worked in lots of places but there is no place like New Mexico.
