Well, I would start with what caused it. To me it looks as if the bridge failed. Next question is why did the bridge fail? Did it have a speed restriction? If so, was that restriction violated? If not, was there a derailed car being dragged. If so, it must have left the track at the bridge, causing the pile-up.
There was a write in the Pittsburgh paper about bridges here. Mainly about the highway bridges. I wonder what about the train bridges. Theres one that goes over a river below the house that is HUGE. To me looks like its in bad shape, but still used. Now I am sure they check them out all of the time, but just think if bridges give way. Chemicals and who knows what else will go all over the place. This is a example I guess. Just think if the bridge was over a major highway.
Simple - 3 or 4 skyhooks strategically placed should do the trick! 2 or 3 of these guys can help[alien]. If not, I’m sure one of our presidential candidates [soapbox] will have the best solution!![:-^]
What bridge? [:-^] Oh THAT bridge, under 2,000,000,000 pounds of scrap metal…[D)]
Now THAT is a nasty wreck!
Just have those politicians hold a debate on the scene of the wreck. That much hot air will lift most anything!
Looks like there’s enough metal laying there to build a new bridge now![(-D]
I’d start by loading that pile of lumber onto my gooseneck flatbed trailer and hauling butt out of there to start a huge building for my dream layout!

Take the Monty Python approach (RUN AWAY!!)
Nasty pile-up (looks like they tried[and succeded] at representing Talledaga).
I’d get some steel cutters and work my way from the outside in.
Reminds me off the massive pile up we had in Wisconsin on the Soo Line a long time ago. Not sure where or when, but that was a huge mess.
Outstanding modeling!
