Well the state govt has listened.they have provided the 51 mile shortline Maumee & Western with about 375 thousand dollars in grants and loans.The money is desparately needed for track upgrades.The railroad spent 37 thousand dollars in repairs in 2002 for derailments.The track is former wabash rr and was leased to the Maumee and western by Ns.

Good to hear the little fella get some badly needed help.
That will buy them some joint ties and some surfacing and not much else. The ruckus at Nappy-town (Napoleon, OH) is going to gobble up more than half of that figure. Hope they spen the money wisely, judiciously and get the most bang for the bucks… The owner down in Corydon, IN have such a checkered past - Hard to know which way they will go…
