Does anybody know where I might find information and pictures on lead and zinc mining in NE Oklahoma, SE Kansas or SW Missouri? I want to build a small, shelf-type free-lance layout based loosely on those mines. NG and SL Gazette had one article a few months ago, but that is all that I have seen. Google, as usual, gave me a lot of url’s that weren’t very useful.
Try Dogpile as a search engine. Type in Lead mines and mining oklahoma and you’ll get references to books, materials by the Oklahoma Historical Society, etc. Then you can pursue some of the town names and mine names for additional information.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I don’t know why I didn’t think of Dogpile. I guess that old age and senility is catching up with me.
