Can anyone tell me what year (s) the # 189 Villa was cataloged? My layout is mostly prewar and I have a preference for tin accessories. Also, is there a comprehensive list accessories?
My TCA book lists it as being made from 1923- 1932 !! You might try the TCA for all that info !!

An excellent reference is “Greenberg’s Guide to Lionel Trains Accessories 1901-1942 Volume III” by Peter Riddle. It’ll give you pictures, prices, and write-ups on all Lionel prewar accessories. List price when it was published in the 1990s was $39.99. I purchased one on Ebay a year or so ago for around $20.
According to this reference, the 189 Villa was catalogued from 1923 through 1932, but was also available on Scenic Plots through 1942.
