I posted this over in the CTT forum but no one is there so…I got a box of free trains (lucky me!!) and they are all lionel. I need some help identifiying and help repairing some of them. Any info is appreciated. Can some one give me some info. on the locomotive pictured below and where can i find a front for it. Thanks!
When you say that “no one is there” do you mean you are expecting an immediate answer? That’s not the way these forums work – you have to wait for people to read your message and answer it. This is not a “live” forum where people can immediately read your question. My advice would be to put your question back over on the CTT forum and give it a couple of days.
I know that but when i posted it no one was over there and i also wanted as many replies as possible so i could gather more info.

rtraincollector-I cannot find your e-mail address. There are no numbers on the engine. The only thing is the “L” on the cab and the plate on the bottom of the motor that has lionel corp. info. There is a number/code on the bottom of the tender. it is : 2689TX . I do not knowif this will help.

The guys over on the CTT forum said it was a Lionel prewar 259e made in the 30’s. Lucky me!!![:D] Thanks for the site with the parts rtraincollector[8D]
