Anyone know where to get parts to make an old non running loco into a new dummy loco they are crap tyco and life like but wanted to make them extra’s hanging out on tracks or in line as dummies. Can you buy the whole under carrige with wheels?

It should not be a mater of buying new parts but simply pulling out parts and wires. Remove the gear(s) that attach the wheels to the motor so that they spin freely. Remove the wire to the motor so it doesn’t run. TA DA! a dummy locomotive.
Yep, just remove the drive and idler gears from the power trucks and cut the motor wires. You can even leave the light wires connected to the truck pickups so that they still work.
Tyco-Just remove these three black plastic gears from the side of the truck tower.
PS-I could REALLY use those three gears if your just gonna throw them out.
