Old movie now on DVD with Lionel Prewar "Four's a Crowd" Errol Flynn

I have just ordered Four’s a Crowd, a movie made in the late 30’s starring Errol Flynn. The movie is available online from the Warner Bros Archives. I saw the movie on TV in the 70’s and have been looking for it ever since. There is a lot of footage of Lionel Hudsons and other Prewar trains on a spectacular layout. Lionel mentioned the film in their 1937 (I believe) catalog. The cost is 19.95 plus shipping. This is probably the best Lionel footage I have seen in any motion picture of Lionel trains.

I just wanted to pass this along.

jmpmap,

Thank you for the info., it has to be a great movie due to having Lionel trains in it.

I never heard, or knew that this movie was made.

Not only will it be enjoyable, but also, very interesting to watch.

I have heard of this movie. It was mentioned in a display TCA had at their Convention in Ontario, California a few years ago. One of our members put together a display about Trains and Hollywood. He had some large movie stills that were on exibit at the convention. I think the trains were outdoors in the movie. The actors were down on the ground eye balling the trains going by. In addition to the Lionel Scale Hudson, I remember seeing a Lionel M 10000 early diesel streamliner on the layout. Nice to know that the DVD is available. Thank you very much.

Here is a link to the trailer with a tease of the layout in the background just as the dogs are called out…
