I have 6 magizens ranging from 1952 to 1975… Most Are in good to fair condition… One has the front and back cover comming off. Can any one tell me how much these magizens would go for??
Not too much. Depends on what they are but still I"ve seen old mags at shows for $1-3 each.
Pretty much the same thing here. Typically $1 each and less if you wanted a quantity.
don’t try to sell old mag’s there worthless but then again dont throw them away
like I would trash a 50 year old model train mag that could help me add to my layout out
Check eBay completed auctions. Also go to railpub.com. They sell old train magazines and have a pdf of their inventory. Most aren’t that expensive. Good luck!
As mentioned, they probably are not worth much. The only ones selling for any type of money would be special features, like “The Neil Young Interview”, or something like that that would have meaning and only to a person with that particular interest.
Now, for your statement about “like I would trash a 50 year old model train mag that could help me add to my layout out”, it would not be unreasonable for someone to suggest not tossing them as you obviously are interested in selling them, and if you found you could not get a good price, one might reason that you would indeed toss them. I have a good number of different train magazines from the 50’s all the way up to today, and I enjoy going back and getting ideas and seeing photos of old trains and layouts, but I would not pay a lot for them.

If they’re not worth keeping (to you), you may wish to give them to someone - or a rail museum (as a give-away) in your area. I have done this with years of MR (kept all my CTTs though )
The TCA museum sells them for $1. ea., less for “lots” in boxes. I’ve paid $1. at shows. EBay is tough due to postage costs. I tend to hang on to my old CTT and OGR since things that did not interest me a few years ago, may now (modular clubs, etc.). Joe
true but is this one mag it shows you step buy step with pic on how to hand lay HO scale track (or any scale for that matter) and hills that you could make with out a trip to the store. I am using the hill making article to make hills for my “bare” layout. and they were given to me by one of my gutar teachers as a reward for practing
Forget making money off the magazines.
Personally I dont mind paying a dollar or two for several. But have enjoyed the generosity of local modelers who made unwanted issues availible for free.
Dont throw those issues away. I see an oppertunity to scan it into a digital file and sharing with others over the internet. Paper may wear and fall apart but digital files are pretty stout and might be useful to someone.
As mentioned, see if others in your area are interested. Make scanned copies of the articles, and then you could share the magazines with someone else, you never know if they might have something to share/give to you. In the end, this hobby is full of good people who enjoy helping each other.

true. but with these mags I might pass them on to my kids.
