Old Railroad Photos wanted

To anyone and everyone… I am at the point of decorating the train room and I want to do it up in old railroad photos.

I live in Springfield, Ohio… so if anyone hase I&O, CCC&S, NYC, C&O, or other Ohio specific photos that would be bonus points, but I would be happy with any. If there is a story attached to the photo please share it.

I don’t want the photo’s themselves- sadly I can’t afford to buy them… please just post a link and I will print, or email a file…

There are lots of suppliers of prototype photos around: check in Trains or Classic Trains, or online. Most times, you can get 8"x10" b&ws for under $5.00 apiece.

Check out Fallen Flags web site. Lotsa of good pictures from a lot of old RRs.

You can search by many criteria on their site. Pull downs to most railroads and fallen flags also.

See if anyone has published a book about any of these lines. You may be able to get hundreds of scanable photos for 20 bucks. even less if you check it out from the library.

I know that the U&D (later a part of NYC) has at least four books and three of them are mostly photos.

You may be able to get pictures you have already paid for, when you paid your income taxes. Millions of free historical pictures, including railroad pictures, from library of congress online.

Do a Google Images search using different words, should find hundreds on line.
