Montreal Locomotive Works/Alco RS units, 1958, 60+ years old now, hauling windmill blades. Now wind turbines are considered new technology but wind power has been around for centuries. Also I’m sure the RS-18’s have digital upgrades not known in 1958.
Not sure anyone in 1958 would quite understand what they are hauling here, but they might recognize the Diesels.
So is this the new and the old, the old and the new, the old and the old or the new and the new?
Nice picture anyways.
SFG 1819 leads two other RS-18’s with a train of windmill blades.
