older rivarossi steam headlight

Hi all

A friend of mine with no computer asked me to try to find out how to replace the headlight bulb in an

older rivarossi 2-8-2, He said it sits on a platform at the front of the boiler.

ANY help is appreciated.

I replaced the bulbs on my Rivarossi Big Boy and Challenger with 12 volt warm white LED.,s (no resistor needed). You just have to provide a new clamp/bracket to hold the LED in place. If his has the headlight on a platform, it sounds like it may be a 2-8-8-2, which has the headlight there. That is the same as the Big Boy and Challenger. You might still find incandescent bulbs to fit but you may have to watch Ebay for them.
