Olympia Logging Series: Part 27 - Applying ground cover
It’s always nice to see Jenny in the video. It would be good to have more ladies in the hobby.
Moar Jenny! Nice seeing her on this side of the camera! This is an excellent video as it really shows and explains how to do this process in terms a novice will understand.
Jenny, I feel sorry for you! First they make you take videos of this hobby - NOW they are actually making you play with the toys. You poor girl! I am an old nerd so it’s too late for me, but you need to run and save yourself. Better hurry before they make you lay track.
Thanks for the comments, everyone!
Gary - I enjoy being part of the MRVP crew! And personally, I think scenery work is the most fun step in building a layout. I was happy to jump in, get my hands dirty, and contribute to the project!
I think the best part of this video is Jenny is showing females that it’s not just a guys hobby we definitely need more females in the hobby. Hope to see her in more videos doing a little bit of everything. It’s fantastic that Jennys on here saying what fun she had. It’s good for the hobby
Jenny, you hang in there lady and learn everything that you can about model railroading, video and scripts and you’ll be leading MRV in the future. That would be a huge step for the hobby and for you and many young girls will look up to you as a good role model. Keep learning and doing.
Way to work that scenery Jenny. We need to get the ladies involved. You show 'em how it’s done!
Looks great folks. Jenny thanks for showing that a novice can get in there too! I find it encouraging.
Well done all, yet again showing that it’s not just a guy thing. Many wives and daughters are involved in the hobby but the perception is there are very few. Model Railways / Railroading is a diverse hobby with something for everyone.
I missed some of Jenny’s comments early on as I don’t think her mic was set up quite right, this improved late in the video. Kent was booming all the way through. Just a technical issue I suspect.
Thanks again for another informative video and series. Keep them coming.
Peter
HO Freelanced layout.
Just working on the back story for how US Articulated locos are running in Australia???
Shays and climaxes have been here but the Big Boy and Mallett???
Great job on this video. Great to see Jenny jumping in.
Would love to be able to some how buy a few of those model railroader aprons for my wife and I. Keep it up guys and gals.
what is the benefit of the blue tape on the tracks and does she every smile
why are the videos out of order. shouldn’t this part “27” been posted way before?
Kent/Jenny,
Good video on scenery work. I’m at that point where I’m starting to experiment and add to my layout, and reviewing this video series is a big help. Jenny, I can see how you applied everything you’ve learned since arriving at MR and put it to good use on your T-Trak module… impressive. Thanks MRVP gang!
Allan
p.s. Out-takes are always funny and a good way to end the video!
