I’ve heard that OMI drives are very smooth and quiet runners.[:D] The frames are also made of brass, so they should be pretty powerful.[:D]

SMOOOOOOTH and quiet. If you want ‘pulling’ power, buy the P2K SD-60 as is.
The OMI chassis’ were works of art - Cannon motors, brass gears, etc.
You can always tell when an Overland/ OMI is running the rails. They have a very distintive sound, not to say that it’s noisey, you hear the whine from the mechanism. They are fairly light and unweighted don’t expect them to pull like a P2K E unit or SD. But as to the quality, Don says it like it is, They are one fine crafted precision work of art. These chassis are crafted as well as the brass shell that’s on it.
