Anybody ever order anything from trainstuff.com (aka MB Klein)? Are they a good outfit to deal with? What about trainz.com? Any opinion on them?

Klein is outstanding. I have been ordering from them since the call-it-in days and have been very happy with their service, prices, and resposne.

I highly recommend Klein’s. Prices are great, shipping is fast, and the customer service is excellent. I haven’t used trainz.com though.

Yup, M.B. Klein is a good outfit. I’m also fond of www.trainworld.com. I’ve found some very good deals and good service at www.modelrailwaypo.com, too.

I don’t know how close you are to a train shop, or whether there’s a good train shop in your neighborhood, but don’t count them out on the basis of price alone. Many participate in the Walthers sales, so go to www.walthers.com and sign up for the monthly fliers. Walthers is generally full MSRP, but they do have sale items, and sometimes real bargains on clearance items. If your LHS participates, they can order the items for you at the sale price and save the shipping charges.
