I want to start building my On3 layout and I don’t know which track to use. First I need to know which code I should use. The track should be able to deal with C-class and K-class locomotives ( everything from C-16 to K-37). Does code 100 still look good?
Futher I prefer hand laid track, which companies exist that produce On3 track?

Code 100 rails should look just fine on an O scale layout. As for handlaying supplies, check the Walthers catalog.
One thing: modern flextrack and switches look 100 times better than any handlaying job. With fish plates and four scale spikes per tie, you cannot lay lots of track to the same standard. The simplest way to get prebuilt On30 track components would be to buy ME flextrack and cut out every other tie. Ignore the slightly underlength ties. What the heck, you’re modelling in an incorrect scale anyway, so a little more modeler’s license won’t hurt!
Thank You for the replies. Just to clear one point, I am modeling in 0n3, not HO nor On30 (which is truly an incorrect scale). I do have some 0n3 flextrack pieces from Precison Scale, but I am not really happy with the look of the plastic ties, even if they are weathered. Since there is no supplier of On3 tracks in Europe (as far as I know), I do not want to order different styles of track just too see if I like it or not.
My next concern is, that that code 100 track might look to too bulky for a narrow gauge railroad.
