i have posted this once but i really need an answer will sn3 work on an on30 layout? or will have to redo the gauge on the wheel’s?
On30 uses HO track gauge. The NMRA specs are:
.649 - .663"
Sn3 use the following track gauge:
.563 - .582"
Sn3 is a lot tighter than the HO/On30 gauge…

No.
On30 = HO = Sn3 1/2 (also Sn42). For Sn3, you’ll have to replace the axles with longer ones. I’d only do that for engines, for cars I’d just swap the trucks - if necessary modify the underbody to allow them to turn.
Frankly, I’m not sure it’s worth the trouble. The whole point of On30 is to be able to use HO track, trucks, and loco mechanisms. Sn3 rolling stock will not be right for On30 - grab irons and ladders are too small, doors too short, cabs too short, etc.
Enjoy
