Has anyone had any trouble with internet-order suppliers such as internettrains.com? I placed an order for some MLR track stuff and a pair of Xuron cutters over 3 weeks ago…haven’t even got an e-mail about what the hold up might be and I know it hasn’t even shipped yet. I’ve seen these products at 3 LHSs since! I know they can’t be back ordered this badly. However, Nscalesupply.com was very responsive about order availability …Which places should I stay away from?..John
I don’t really know what to stay away from but nscalesupply is very good about getting your order out. Something you don’t see to often.
I ordered from both companies , and I have to say N scale supply has the better track record as far a shipping in a timely manner, although internet trains has shipped promptly most of the time. They can be a little slow also, when you made your purchase you should have gotten a tracking number and a web address to check on it. If not I suggest you start e-mailing them and keep it up till you get a satisfactory reply, I always believed the old saying " the squeeky wheel gets the grease"[:D]

Some of the online houses are just slow to ship. Some hold the entire order waiting for one item, and some will ship piecemeal. Others get everything on Brown the next day. Just the way they are, I guess.
Heres an update on the shiping policy on Internet trains…most orders leave thier warehouse in about 2-6 business days (process time), standard UPS ground can take up to an additional 1-5 business days. If you have not recieved your shipping confirmation E-mail after 7 business days , contact them at Orderstatus@internettrains.com or call at (800) 369-0878 for an update, You’ll need your order number in the subject line if you e-mail. This information was in the order status E-mail they sent me , witch. I found in my spam folder If you have a spam filter from your ISP check it, mine does’nt recognise some addresses as legitimate, this could be why you haven’t heard from them in three weeks, but its a long shot. How this info helps you out.

Whenever you order from companies online, you need to add their email address to your address book, or any email they send you will end up in your spam folder if your email account is set to show you only email from people that you know.
Earthlink users should read the statement above two or three times.
Sorry, might be my jaded side. I just love when I get e-mail questions from Earthlink users, reply to their message, and then get a message back from Earthlink asking me to fill out their request form to send a message to that Earthlink user. WAIT A SECOND! They initiated contacted with me! I think the Earthlink spam blocker is noble, but they need to improve it so when a user sends an e-mail to someone, that person’s address is added to their white list.
OK, enough ranting.
jkroft, have you tried to contact Internet Trains about your order?
I’ve always dealt with Micro-Mark,and never had a problem.
