Would you like to see more videos on our website?
I’ve never paid any attention to them. I didn’t know there were any, because I never go to the magazine page, just the forum.
The amount is great now, but more would be welcomed.
If I could, I’d vote for LONGER videos with better LIGHTING. Most folks get a very small pop-up window for viewing the video, so lighting is of the utmost importance.
The other tip I’d offer is that ALL videos should include the bell, whistle, and chuff/roar sounds. Try running the trains through the shot slower. This makes for better movies.
Thanks for asking,
Jon [8D]
I’ve watched the videos a few times. I like them, though I tend to watch the ones about items I might actually consider buying. I usually don’t view the high-end stuff. Why torture myself?
More please!
I watch them all, high end, low end, small dollars and big dollars. I would especially like to see a library of clips of operating accesories and operating cars in action. It would not matter to if the accessory shown is in current production or not, it is my chance to see them in action. My only local dealer’s layout is in bad order despite Lionel’s dealer requirement to have an operating layout and I have yet to come across another toy train operator in this area. Online videos are my chance to see something in action before I buy.
Many thanks to those that go to the trouble of putting the images online and thanks as well for the drive space and bandwidth.
Steve
I love watching the videos!!!
The quantity of videos is fine, I just wi***he quality was a little better.

I love these videos - I wish some of them weren’t so murky and short. It is wonderful to see something in action.
like those video…just need better quality , specially for full screen viewing.
Also if the headline is for an engine no need to show the 30+ cars running behind it, more close ups would be nicer.
Sorry, but I’ve only seen a couple of the videos. As with anything on the web, the pictures are too small, too grainy and too jerky to really get much out of. I supose if I had a better computer I might get a better download, but I’d rather spend the money on trains.
I agree with the majority, the videos are a plus factor, one of the biggest thing I like to see is how it takes the corners, overhang, body sway etc, also how it does going thru the turn-outs ( switches).
What Elliot said…I guess I should be lookin’.
This is the first magazine I joined, where reviews can be watched. I really love to see those things running. Also like mentioned before, please use a 500 watt building spot when filming and please don’t reduce the quality and framesize so much. I guess also sounds will improve a lot by doing that.
Apart from that, thumbs up for this great extra!
I saw some one say that the lighting needed to be better, and I will agree with that. I am thirteen years old, and gettiing in to the hobby, so i’d like to see what the layout looks like so i can get some ideas for my layout.[%-)] I am confused and need some help. If any one wants to, send me some info to me at trainstrains@sbcglobal.net, I thank you for any help any one can send.
Welcome to the CTT forum Chris
One way to learn is to look at what others have done, like check out our web page by clicking on the web icon below.
Good luck

[#welcome]chris123… A lot of people have a homepage, which you can watch bij looking into their profile, or on the bottom of their posts at the “web” icon, like spanky said. Getting ideas for a layout is simply looking around and see what other have built.
If you have any questions about toy trains or your future layout, let us know and we will try and help you with it.
I watched the Williams CP set video and really enjoyed it. Your videos should be longer and include chicks and stuff.
Please slow the engine down!!!
(Not) Seeing a MTH Premier line no. 20-311701 Pennsylvania RR 2-10-0 at toy train break neck speeds blur by the camera pulling a drag of 25 freight cars doesn’t do much when you can’t see the engine being featured in the video!?!
Slow 'em down so we can all get a good look![2c][2c]
