Ontario Northland

I’ve never been that far east but I was wondering what industries Ontario Northland served & what kind of goods they hauled.

I don’t know too much details of the ONR other than they seem to deal with metal products because of the amount of covered gondolas, lumber because of the amount of centerbeams flats and pulp and paper products because of the amount of 50 foot box cars.

If you want go into this sight and they should be able to give you more details.

Hmmm I should know that but I don’t. I was employed with Ontario Northland Rail (ONR) sister company Ontario Northland Telecom, both owned by the crown company Ontario Northland Transportation Commission.

They do operate passenger rail service from Toronto, all the way up to Moosenee.
