I HAVE SEVERAL 00 GAUGE TRAINS DATING FROM THE 1930’S. SOME ARE STILL UNASSEMBLED IN THE BOXES, OTHERS HAVE BEEN BUILT. I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL TRAIN SHOWS, BUT AM STILL UNABLE TO DETERMINE THERE VALUE? I’VE BEEN TOLD ANYWHERE FROM $75.00 PER CAR TO “YOU’VE GOT A SMALL FORTUNE HERE!” THE MODELS ARE MOSTLY BY SCALE CRAFT OUT OF CHICAGO,IL
THE COMPANY IS NO LONGER IN BUISNESS, AND I CAN’T SEEM TO FIND ANY INFO ON THESE TRAINS. IF THEY ARN’T WORTH MUCH, I’LL ASSEMBLE THE KITS AND MAKE A NICE STATIC DISPLAY. IF THEY ARE WORTH QUITE A BIT, I MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN SELLING THEM. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON THE SUBJECT, I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT. THANKS
Hi Mike,

THANKS TIM
The video posted above features a British “OO” layout.
American “OO” and British “OO” are two different sizes.
British “OO” uses the same gauge track as American HO.
American OO track is wider, and the trains are built to a slightly larger scale.
Can’t give you too much advice on what the OO’s are worth, but if the kits are complete and in the boxes don’t assemble them. I see model airplane kits at antique shows and flea markets that I remember from the 60’s going for heart-attack prices. Mind you, these kits are in the boxes and unassembled.
I’d leave well enough alone for now. Remember, you don’t have to feed and water them.
