OP SIG Industry Database

I was looking for some stuff on Industries served by railroads past and present and came across this web site www.opsig.org/industrydb. This web site has ALOT of great stuff. It lists the industries (most of them ),that the railroads serve. I encourage everyone to check this out. Operations SIG is a compiling list of industries throughout North America (including Canada and Mexico),for use in creating waybills for traffic moving to,from or via model railroads. This may not suit ALL model railroaders, though it is a great reference point for those wanting to know about what industries were served by railroads[:D]

FYI

The URL is actually http://www.opsig.org/industrydb/

Thanks,

That it is. The only thing that is a bit of a problem, is that there are some industries that are not listed in certain cities,of certain states. I want to also pass along some advice, that should someone want to print out a few pages of an entire state (like I did ),its best to use the "landscape’ version, as the commodities listed for each industry will not all appear if you print in the "portrait " version. Some of the more "lengthy " states are Michigan,Iowa,Illinois,Ohio,Minnesota,Nebraska,Louisiana,Texas,Wisconsin,Missouri, and Kansas
