The mid Mon valley model Railroad club is opening their doors to the general public again. Located in New Eagle Pennsylvania, the layout represents the Monongahela valley between the PRR Shire Oaks yard down to Allenport PA in the 1950’s. The layout is in a former apartment and literally goes through the walls on two levels, with a 4 or 5 turn helix in it’s own separate room. The club has no set era for open house, so you may see a PRR K4,CSX Dash 8, Wheeling & Lake Erie Sd40-2, and even some foreign locos -international locos.
The open house starts Saturday November 29th, and runs weekends until the first weekend of January. The hours are 12pm-5:00PM. Free admission, but donations are voluntary.
