open top loads

I’ve just finished these loads for my narrow gauge roster.

Wolfgang

Good looking loads. Nice birch trees too.

Very nice loads. What materials did you use?

Agree with Dave, very nice loads and birch trees.

Did you weight your lumber load?

Have fun,

Richard

To make open top loads readily removeable, embed a piece of iron in the load, which in turn is on a board or piece of plastic cut to fit in the car. The load is then easily lifted by use of a magnet.

I’ve used wood and foam for the core, then coal and sand. And Northeastern stripwood.

And of course a piece of steel. [:)]

Looks sweet!

The loads have not much weight. It’s the car. With some lead I pushed them up to 1 oz, just like the Blackstone car.

What paint color do you use for the decks of those flat cars? They look very realistic like weathered wood.
