Opinion on the new K line PRR K4

I am looking for opinions on the new K line Scale K4 in the post war styling, ie the modern front end, I am looking at purchasing one either in the railsounds or whistle only version, cant decide which one to get. Thanks Mike

I saw the post war version at a train show a couple of months ago. It’s an impressive model. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I have a few Kline scale steamers and am happy with them!
I would like to own the K-4 someday too! Sure hope Kline keeps the tooling warm!

I have been waiting for this one for sometime, just happens to catch me when the train funds are low, so I am saving my pennys!! They will be around on ebay and the internet train sites for some time. I will have to just be happy with my Lionel 675 that I slowing converting to a more modern K4. Waiting on parts to convert it to a 4-6-2 from the current 2-6-4 that it is. Trying to find a PRR style headlight to place up in front of the stack, then I will take one of my boiler fronts that is lacking the marker lights and grind off the headlight and patch up the hole where it was, then a set of proper PRR class lights on the side of the boiler will make it complete. The scale K4 will look a little strange pulling my smaller Lionel cars, I plan to get the scale passenger cars for it and make up a Broadway Limited consist. The baby K4 (675) will handle the freight duties. To much new scale PRR power and not enough funds!!!
