Orange CSX locos?

I think that I’m right that CSX painted its MoW locos orange?

… but … when did it start doing this? Did it renumber the locos? Did they stay exclusively in MoW service or could they be used in regular traffic? Could they be used to help out struggling trains?

Thanks

[:P]

PS Did regular grey locos get used on MoW trains once the orange had started?

The only photos I saw of the CSX MOW practice were taken in the 1990-2000 decade.

Somebody who lived or worked right next to the tracks would have to answer this.

Actually, the CSX public relations department might be able to answer that question through their website.

I think they started in the 80’s and IIRC the GP38 that Trains named the All American Locomotive was in this scheme when donated.

Now that I look back it was an Amtrak in orange I was thinking of for the 80’s. But I do think the other half of above is correct.
