A poster mentioned using drawbars instead of couplers in 4 car sets. This is exactly what the prototype DM&IR did in the classic era.
Yup, that’s where I got the idea. I eventually might try filing down the ends of the MDC ore car coupler boxes so I can use even shorter drawbars, but they look fine in a train as is.
