Briefly Yes. BUT the paint scheme is for a dedicated iron ore hauler and in that paint scheme would probably spend the bulk of its time (like in excess of 99%) hauling iron ore and an occasional car with some parts or equipment if delivered that way. As an engine model on other roads it would be used in road service hauling whatever they put behind it. It would not be used as a yard or switch engine.
If it belongs to BHP Billiton ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BHP_Billiton ), the answer is ore loads. That’s what they do.
If it belongs to BNSF, UP, etc. not so much.

I don’t know if it would but I was just looking for some gondolas from 1895 that I could use for my railroad.
Probably never on the UP or BNSF, they would use/did use their 6000 hp units on intermodal trains.
Reason i ask i am looking for a good DCC/Sound Dash 8 or 9 or a AC600 to use on my setup HO. I would love to find the Atlas Gold QSI DCC Dash 8 BNSF “repaint”. But i cant find thing anywhere.
