Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad steam excursion announced
This article is highly confusing. It appears there may be a choice of departing Garibaldi shortly after 6 a.m. or Wheeler at about 8:00 a.m. The latter is for those traveling by bus from Portland. When I was last up there a dozen years ago there was not a wye to turn engine at Salmonberry. Therefore it may operate going both forward and backward. I hope the run is sold out, since I suspect it has been scheduled in part to put pressure on the state to allow the track restoration on east to Enright.
The actual date is Saturday April 26th, not Friday the 25th
