I have found that original posts of all threads are blank and reply spots all missing. What is going on ?
My guess would be a website hiccup. I saw something similar after replying to a post last night, where the webpage came back with an empty thread - reloading the page fixed that problem.
Hate to say it - the software on this forum is nothing but one hiccup after another.
Am having same trouble. Original post of a thread is showing blank on just some threads and it is random. When original blank no reply button showing on any posts. Sometimes requesting threads sometimes original posts will return. Note: this is on more than one computer with different OSs
Anyone having same problem ?
Just received a PM from a regular poster who is having this same problem. It is still happening to me. The PM seemed to indicate that he could not get access to any thread of the form.
Note: still having problems accessing form original posts that occurs at random and not all threads . Note: could not even access this thread yesterday. !!!
Did you happen to have just been updated to IE-11?
If so, be sure you are viewing Trains dot com in “Compatibility Mode”.
Better still, dump IE and get a browser that works.
You could also improve your life by dumping your Smartaleckphone and getting two Dixie cups and some string.
I have tried several of the other “better” browsers and found problems with ALL of them. Chrome “ATE” my computer and I spent several days recovering from installing and attempting to use it. FireFox worked fine, but broke other more important programs when I installed it and it took a while to make the association with what squirreled things up.
I repeat, THEY ALL HAVE PROBLEMS… get one that meets your needs and learn how to circumvent the problems. I use IE and have learned how to circumvent some of the problems and prefer it to knuckling under the octopus arms of BigBrother Google/Chrome, or giving up things I need in other areas by using FireFox.

Wasn’t implying any browser is better than others. I’ve tried them all, and I guess it was circumstance that I didn’t have good luck with I E. I’m with you on Chrome. I won’t have it on my machine.
