He had to learn all those processes on the fly as it were. And quite a few years–I wonder how many of us would have that patience and desire to do dis!![%-)][:P] Magnificent work[:O][^]

I wonder if he could teach me------[:P]

I’ve seen that before on a scale auto forum I’m a member of. Incredible craftsmanship is all I can say. It kind of makes my 1/24 scale models that I’ve spent close to 100 hours each on look like toys, lol.

Awesome, and you know some idiot asked him A: How much did it cost and B:where could he buy one

I saw that at the NAMES show in Toledo back in 2007. Very impressive, especially when he started it.

Rather similar to the modelers who have spent umpty-thousand hours turning raw metal and a set of rough castings into an operating large-scale live steam locomotive. I will admit, though, that I’ve never heard of one built with EVERY part accurate and authentic.

My hat’s off to the gentleman. Beautiful work.

Amazing. My first thought was how anyone could spend 15 years on a project, then I realized I am in my 2nd year and I only have about 5% of my track down. I can’t believe how much stuff works in that model–it looked like just about everything. Jamie

The difference is you can ride on, or behind those magnificent live steam locomotives, while the Ferrari 312PB can only sit there and rev the motor in neutral!

Ah, but not if you can teach the family’s guniea pig to drive!

LOL. I know. What else is it good for? Verne Troyer perhaps?

My view is that fine quality modeling is never OT. We are after all expected to model trains, track, vehicles, structures, roads, figures, animals, ships, airplanes, sky, clouds, water, sounds – what could possibly be OT when it comes to quality work and technique?

Awesome!! I had already seen it, I’m a car junkie… Speaking of good modelling skill, have you seen these guys??

It’s in japanese but it does’nt matter… They’re all cool, but the armor models are especially fun since you see them build the model and the scene for the diorama. Some pretty cool weathering and highlighting ideas applicable for just about anything. Check out the guy’s account on youtube… he’s uploaded a whole bunch of those programs.

Pshaw- I could do that in my sleep.

Er, I meant, in my dreams!! [:D]

With my luck just as I’d get it finished, Ferrari would come out with a new style…

Geez, that is some nice modeling. To bad there isn’t a way to drive it.

After seeing this, I’m wondering if there is a large-scale live diesel out there somewhere.

These are in 1/8 scale, and can do a lot more than sit in an exhibition hall:

Sure there is. Are you 1’ 8" tall? If Verne can drive it, then you can drive it.
