I was watching the news tonight and it doesn’t look good for those Utah miners. 10 people were injured trying to get to them, and 12 more have asked to be reassigned. It has to be an extremely dangerous situation that men are asking to be moved out of the mine. If you can, remember them in your thoughts and prayers for the next couple of days as it looks more and more like a miracle is their only hope.
It just goes to show that there are jobs in this country that are extremely dangerous, and that the electricity we enjoy from the work of a miner (and the railroad, for that matter) can come at an incredible cost.
Unfortunately, and tragically, one of those 10 injured has passed on. My thoughts and prayers with the families of all, and hope and pray for the best for all involved. Godspeed.
And thank you. No thread requesting thoughts and prayers for those in distress would be complete without the one or two ‘prayers don’t help in times like this’ posts. Thanks for imparting your wisdom to us.
I keep praying for them and the workers trying to get to them, each and every night! They’re risking their lives, so we can all have power to run our air conditioners, light our homes, offices, stores, and everyplace else. I believe in my heart, that their families, friends and coworkers are saying prayers left and right, and I’m helping them along with my prayers also! Prayer does work!!
