OTDX "Bulkhead Flats" - Converted All-Door Boxcars?

I was reading a thread on some forum when I came across mention of the OTDX 6000 series of “Bulkhead” flats (Greenbrier Leasing) - there seems to be a decent number of images on the web of these, but rather little useful information (at least that I could find).
Here’s one image - now, one photo caption claimed they are converted former All-Door Boxcars (which I though itself was a rather rare item on North American railroads even back in the day before centerbeams). I can definitely see the OTDX’s as being converted from All-Door Boxes, but I’d like to get some solid info on them - anyone have any?

You’re probably correct - I was originally planning to post this thread in “Prototype Info for Modelers”, where it nominally fits better than here, but that forum has become somewhat of a ghost town over the past few months with only a few posts per day, sad to say. Everything seems to be flowing to this forum nowadays.
