Do the garden railroad guys use the same methods to secure their ballast? Or do they use a different adhesive instead of diluted white glue. Thinking of how they compensate for rain and snow.
Any insigths?

G scale railroaders normally don’t glue the ballast in place but leave it loose. Chicken grit or crusher fines from a rock crusher are the most common items used for outdoor ballast. The most recommended method is to dig a trench, fill it with ballast, and then let the track float on top. Additional ballast is just sprinkled on as necessary as it washes away.
