Hi guys been gone for a while but anyways does anyone sell outdoor track for o gauge anyone here have a setup or pics ? Thanks bubba
Bubba,
Here’s a copy of an earlier posting in the Sunday Photo Fun thread:
Kurt, There is quite a lot of “O” gauge in the great outdoors, although it does require more care and maintenance then the “G” requires. Not to promote another site but do a search for “outdoor O” in the 3rail section at OGR,you’ll be amazed at what you will find.
As far as the track is concerned my preference would have been Atlas SS but it has been dis-continued which leaves the nickle-silver, good but SS was better. Some have used the gargraves and even some have experimented the MTH with the plastic roadbed and it seems to be holding up ok. Whichever brand is used will require more prep and maintenance than would normally be required for an indoor operation.
Thanks for the info Im thinking of going g scale. who makes a good brand?
