Outside Christmas Decorations

Since it IS the season, I thought with all the outside work being done for the Christmas decorations that it would be appropriate for a thread of house decorations. (Especially given the unfriendly conditions of the weather due to either the Chief doing benchwork, or Kevin leaving the freezer door open).

Not a real good image, but this is the outside of our house. (Toy soldier guarding the walkway, candy canes in the flower bed, Santa on the 2nd story roof at the chimney, sleigh and reindeer on garage roof.)

Reindeer and Sleigh, this is the 2nd set, we made these 14 years ago, and they go up every year.

Close up of the sleigh and toys, the engine cab number is 1192, month and year it was last painted.

I’m convinced, no grouch there.

I havn’t seen these train lights available anywhere. Are they very old?

And that is ONE heck of a lot of trees to decorate !!!

I’m impressed !!!

Thank You…My wife got the train on Amazon.Com, I think. Trees took me two days to do. I have about 800 feet of heavy extension cords on a 30 amp breaker.

Hello All! Nice looking outdoor decoration’s. Blueberry- Hopefully your Trees do not attract Neighborhood Dog’s looking for relief![;)][:P][:o)] Colin- What color are the Light’s for your outdoor decoration’s? In the First photo they’re Gold & the second photo shows white light. Take Care all.

Unfortunately the Grinch’s tree lights didn’t come thru in this pic (they flicker like there’s a short). Grinch’s dog Max is next to be made. He’ll be on the other side of the tree holding some lights in his mouth. I’m thinking of putting the tree on its side! Not sure yet though. Ho Ho Ho! Happy Holidays to ALL!

Keith, I was playing around with the flash setting, so that is how both pix came out different. The lights are white.

Not the neighbor’s…But mine. They are nosy about the lite trees at night. The first two nights, they stood there and barked at them.

Chuck, my mom wants the front to look elegant, so that always means no color in the front yard. I added a few more strands on some of the upper branches, and I also did the trunk. Since I have off tomorrow, I am going to start putting lights out back, which can have color. I’m thinking of multi-color, red and green.

After I take the dog out tonight, I will let him inside, take the camera out, and take a few quick shots, and post them in the morning.

Hi guys,

My Father-in-law and I spent about 5 hours putting up the outside lights today in the cold, under supervision of the “Management”[;)]

Nick
