Hiya folks!
Do any of you guys here have any first hand experience with Overland’s Trackmobile? I’m thinking of getting one. I’d be my first loco (if you can call it that [:p]) in years and my first piece of brass ever. I’d also like to know how difficult it’d be to fit a decoder in there.
I got a price quote of $269.95 from Tony’s Train Exchange.
What’s your thoughs? I’ve never bought brass, I don’t have a layout to run it on and I’ve been out of the hobby for about 10 years. Perhaps I should set my sights a little lower…but gosh darn it I love these little things!

Get Tony’s to install the decoder. Whatever they charge will be worth it.

I did some checking around and his price is really fair. If you are considering DCC later then listen to others and have him install it. I know a few people who have trains (a lot of brass) who don’t have a piece of track or wood laid yet. If you like it then go for it. The way the price of brass is going it might be bigger $$$ down the road. The nice thing about OMI products is they will always hold there value, or very close to it.
