Overview of transition-era gondolas in N, HO, S, and O scales

Excellent overview. The charts with who made what type of gondola was very helpful with my search for specific types.

Great package of information thanks

I liked the charts of who made what and how the uses of these cars varied so much.

Wish we had access to this tyoe of information on all other car types, - both freight nd passenger. Thanks a lot !

Once again an excellent resource for transition modelers! Informative historical pictures and the charts as stated are very useful. This is still the best era to model.

Having started a new layout based solely on the Steel Mill Industry I find the charts and information is excellent.

Great background information on the usage and operation of gomdolas. This is especially valuable for someone from abroad who has no direct access to the US prototype. Thanks.

good article but nothing for canadians writers

Can’t download. Doesn’t recognize I have Adobie 9. I have other downloads that work. Help! (I’m a Transition modeler)

Interesting stuff and additional background for non-USA but USA modelling modelrailroaders. Thks!

As a new model railroader I found it very helpful.

Excellent article with tons of information. Gathering information for my next layout using transition period road equipment and their loads in this article has been a great asset.

Excellent article!

Excellent article. I should put that in my layout over by my train yard.

Great information, but where are the drop ends gondolas that were used in the south. Like the ones that Southern Railway used during that time. There is also nothing said about the converted gondola that served the Southern Steam program in the 60s.

Excellent info; very helpful in determining my gondola fleet and the types of loads they carried on my transition era layout.

A great, quick reference aid in adding an assortment of gondolas to flesh out a freight yard and sidings.

Also nothing mentioned about the Gundersons with the waffle type sides.
