P2K GP60s

I just purchased 3 P2K GP60s in UP. They come with a bag of detail parts, and what looks like a drilling template. However, no instructions are given.[censored] Does any body know what size drill to use, and how the template is supposed to be used?

I know about the number board light issue on DCC, and have removed it. I have options on decoders, might just hard wire something in.

Good question, never did figure it out either.

I have never actually used the template. Any of the details needed for my prototype were just located, drilled and mounted. Some of the details seem off, huge cab shades, etc, others replaced with Detail Assoc, Detail West or Overland for a better look.

I plan on using the antenna conduit, cab AC and plow. I know the plow is not the right shape, but at least it is the right color. It looks like I might have to renumber 2 of them anyways. They have 5835 and 5876, which carried those numbers for about 2 years. They are now 2035 and 2076.

I figured it out. One template goes on the cab roof one way, and a no. 77 drill bit is used. Then, open up the holes to 72 or 71. A similar template is used for the cab mirrors by the windows. The plow is eyeballed, and lots of glue when my eyeball doesn’t work as good as it should.[:-^] Looks nice, now I have to rewire them…
